Due to a three way split, we need to vote again and will continue voting until we have a clear winner. I've put the end date as 20th December but I can change that to earlier or later if anyone has an opinion (I know Mike is keen to get ahead!)

Thanks Rob - as I'm away in Australia/NZ from 21st Jan until end of Feb, I'd like to try and do this task before I go!

We have another draw!
Shall we all start work on a prog rock/metal cross-over song?
Perhaps the song should be about voting systems and the benefit of a transferable vote scheme.

I'm happy with doing a progressive/metal track - I know Tim/Glyn suggested some mash-ups before, so perhaps we could try it for this task?

How about we get the choice of either a metal song or a prog song, or a mash up of the two?

I think, the main thing is that we write a good song. I don't think it really doesn't matters how it ends up. Look at the last few months were there were some rather questionable Christmas songs and ballads. The 'theme' is just a starting point.
While we wait for some kind of official adjudication, I'm going to start work on a song that could fall into that sort of metal/prog area and see where it takes me. If I sing about elves and magic it will sound a bit prog, if I sing about sex and cars, it will sound more metal.

So, the word (from on High) is that with no clear winner, we are allowed to pick either of the two genres OR can mash up the two (Progressive Metal!) This is to be delivered by March 1st (ish) and will be voted for on the penultimate weekend of March (26th/27th)
