This was the opening 'theme' for the SWC over a year ago (the title was 'The Love Is Gone') so thought we could resurrect the idea. The chosen title is still to be decided. Any complaints or better ideas for May? Let me know.

How about "One Year Later" or "One Year On" for the title?

Anything that doesn't rhyme with 'song' would be good.

How about 'unintended consequences'

What about 'The Year of ...' and we can fill in what we like. The Year of Beer or The Year of Living Aimlessly.

Yes, I like Eddie's suggestion of "The Year Of ...". I vote for that one.

Ok. Unless anyone has strong objections, let's go for 'The Year of...'

Really struggling to get '…the cat' and '..the diamond dogs (this ain't rock'n'roll, this is genocide)' our of my head.
Hopefully, everyone else will be similarly handicapped now.

Can we broaden it out to allow things like 'A Year in..' or 'The Year Without..', as long as it's a song that relates to something happening over a 12-month period?

In answer to Eddie (because no one else seems to want t chime in and the silence is killing me) I think you can broaden it out, especially as you asked nicely. Let it be noted that I have no jurisdiction on these matters and if you song gets barred then I can't be held responsible. I think the most important part is it's a good song. We'll have to see what Rob says. He's in charge.
How realistic this makes the task, if we start messing around with the title, I'm not sure. Can you imagine getting a commission to write a James Bond theme and coming back to Cubby Broccoli (any relation to those brothers?) and saying 'is it okay to change "Dr No" to "Dr Probably Not"?'
In case you haven't guessed by now, I am may have to stretch our terms of reference a bit too.

Dr Probably Not? That's a good one. Perhaps I can get away with a song called I Was With You a Month But It Felt Like a Year.

Sorry for the lateness of my reply. Yes, I think your idea to broaden it out is fine.
