I have Tim (W's) voice echoing in my head about Taylor Swift recording a song where the song's melody was one note (is that true?)
So how about, January 2018 is a 'single note' melody challenge?

Okay. I've been listening to a lot of appalling Country and Western music that the folks here seem to lap up!! Could we do something like create a song that has a speaking part to it? Like. 'when you add it all up, the cost of real love not charge'? Perhaps?

What about either the verse or the chorus to be a single note melody? I don't mind going with the whole song being a single note melody, although i'm less keen on the spoken vocal idea.

We've already had a task of doing a song with the spoken word in it, haven't we? I like the idea of having a section with a single note - eg a chorus or verse, but having to listen to five entire songs with one note might be an ordeal, I think.

I think a section of the song that is mainly one note would be fine. Even Taylor doesn't manage an entire song on a single note. For that, you need Neil Young.
